Anya Zova is a stand-up comedian, actress, and producer, born and raised in Russia to a Ukrainian mother and Russian father. A former Kickboxing World Champion, she also earned her law degree by the age of 20 before moving to the United States to pursue her American dream.
After signing with WWE, Anya transitioned into acting, making her television debut on NBC’s award-winning comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and appearing on CBS’s hit series MacGyver. She went on to executive produce and star in the TV pilot Wake Up and will appear in an upcoming Ariana Grande music video.
As a comedian, Anya created the internationally recognized peace-driven stand-up show “Make Laughs Not War,” which has performed in legendary venues including The Comedy Store, Carolines on Broadway, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line Philly, Hollywood Improv, and La Jolla Comedy Store. She is currently co-producing “Clotheslines & Punchlines,” a comedy showcase featuring professional wrestlers turned comedians.
Anya also recently expanded into film production, executive producing two documentaries in 2024-2025: “We Are People Too” (2025, award winning doc) and a second filmed "Angelina" was filmed across nine countries, set for release soon.
